I am young / inexperienced, can I bring along a friend / family member?
Absolutely, in fact it’s actively encouraged. If you are new to modelling, the whole prospect of sitting in front of equipment and lighting in a studio can understandably seem daunting, but with the right photographer and a nice working environment it really is a relaxed and fun experience!
I’d like to get into photography… do you have any advice for beginners?
Yes, if you are looking to get into photography with a view to a possible career, buy as high-spec camera as your budget will permit as this will be the most important initial-purchase that you make; a good camera (recommendations) is always a sound investment and only buy high-speed memory – it makes a huge difference!
Use the web, it’s an amazing resource, subscribe to popular photography magazines, you’ll pick up loads of good advice and keep up to date with new products and emerging technologies. Last but not least, get out there and take lots of shots! Practice makes perfect!
